She’ll be taking part in California’s WE Day on April 25, a youth empowerment event she’s been participating in for the past seven years.

“Every year, WE Day leaves me feeling inspired and hopeful. The youth have an incredible positive and passionate attitude for making real change in the world,” Selena says in a statement.

She adds, “I’m so proud to celebrate young people’s year of social change and to remind them that together, we are an unstoppable movement dedicated to a brighter and better tomorrow.”

WE Day California, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, will feature performances by Meghan Trainor and Pentatonix, and appearances by Hailee Steinfeld, Joe Jonas and Chance the Rapper.

The event is part of a global movement spotlighting young people who are taking on challenging social issues and making a difference in their communities.

A televised WE Day special will air on Friday, August 9 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
