Mark Weiss/WireImageBased on their record sales and concert grosses, every member of *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys should probably be a lot richer than they are, but they’re not — mainly because they were ripped off by Lou Pearlman, the shady music biz impresario who guided their careers.

Now, you can watch a trailer for The Boy Band Con, a new documentary about Pearlman that debuts next month on YouTube.

Executive-produced by Lance Bass, The Boy Band Con: The Lou Pearlman Story features interviews with the members of *NSYNC, Backstreet, O-Town and other groups who rose to stardom thanks to Pearlman.

The mothers of both Lance and Justin Timberlake also chime in with their memories of how Pearlman grew rich as their sons were swindled out of the money they’d worked so hard to earn.

Pearlman was eventually convicted of fraud and money laundering, among other charges, and died in prison in 2016 while serving a 25-year sentence for multiple felonies.

The Boy Band Con: The Lou Pearlman Story, which premiered at the South By Southwest Festival in Austin, TX on Wednesday, debuts April 3 on YouTube.
