A source tells Us Weekly that despite rumors, Halsey isn’t dating Machine Gun Kelly. The two were spotted together outside a nightclub on June 28, but the source explains, “Halsey and Machine Gun Kelly are just friends. She definitely isn’t rebounding with him.”
According to the source, Halsey and MGK “have known each other for a long time and share a ton of mutual friends.”
As for why Halsey and G-Eazy split after a year of dating, the source says their crazy schedules just made it too hard for them to see each other.
“Things became unfavorably complicated. They tried to make the distance thing work, but the two of them are both super-engaging and interactive people,” claims the insider. “It became too difficult for them to sustain a balanced and healthy relationship when they were spending so much time apart.”
However, this may not be the end of their relationship.
Describing Halsey and G as “still very much in love” and “optimistic” about their future, the source explains, “They believe if it’s meant to be, it will be. In the meantime, they are just focused on growing as artists, as people, and are doing their best to set a positive example for their loved ones and fans.”
