Sebastian Mader exclusively for GQDespite the fact that Zayn and his girlfriend Gigi Hadid announced back in March that they were splitting after two years, it seems breaking up is hard to do.  Since then, the two have been spotted kissing and cuddling.  Now, in a new GQ cover story, Zayn can’t stop gushing about her.

According to GQ, Zayn speaks about Gigi in the present tense, saying things like “we go to the farm” — the farm he recently bought in Pennsylvania on the advice of Gigi’s mom, Yolanda.

“I’m really thankful that I met her,” Zayn tells the magazine. “We’re still really good friends, and we’re still in contact. We’re adults. We don’t need to put a label on it, make it something for people’s expectations.”

Zayn also tells GQ that Gigi helped him rethink his priorities when he started partying too much after he released his debut album.

“I had a very negative outlook on things. That might have been adolescence or testosterone or whatever the f*** was running through my body at the time,” he says. “She’s helped me to look at things from a positive angle.”

And when GQ mishears a comment Zayn makes about Gigi being “good with debts,” he says, “No, no. Dates. She doesn’t handle my finances yet. We’ll get to that eventually.”

Other revelations in the article:

–Zayn doesn’t mind the paparazzi, saying, “That’s my promo. I come outside, they take photos. They stay outside and do all the work!”

–On the Pennsylvania farm, Zayn is growing cherries, tomatoes and cucumbers, and he and Gigi have a horse named Cool.

–He says he’d vote for Oprah if she ran for office, because he likes her “ideologies about the world” and thinks she’s a “bada** businesswoman.”
