Taylor Swift's boyfriend Joe Alwyn takes exception to people calling couple "strangely private"

Ever since Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have been dating, Taylor hasn’t said a word about him publicly to anyone. Joe has given brief responses that indicate he’d really rather not talk about it. But now, he seems mildly annoyed that people think he and Taylor are being “too private” about their relationship.

While speaking to fashion magazine Mr. Porter, Joe was asked if he feels he’s had to “fight for his privacy.” He answers, “I don’t think more than anyone else. I don’t think anyone you meet on the streets would just spill their guts out to you, therefore why should I?”

“And then that is defined as being ‘strangely private’. Fine. But I don’t think it is,” he adds. “I think it’s normal.”

In fact, Taylor’s always been pretty private about her relationships. While she’s written about her romances in her songs, she hasn’t been photographed at public events or red carpets with her various boyfriends, hasn’t talked about them in interviews, and only rarely includes them in her social media posts.
