Mert & MarcusFresh off her Billboard Music Award wins last night, Taylor Swift has extended her record for the most Top 40 Billboard Hot 100 hits among female artists.
Her song “Delicate” rose from number 46 to number 36 on the Hot 100, becoming her 56th Top 40 song. She increases her lead even further from the runner-up among women: Rihanna, who has 50 Top 40 Hot 100 entries. Madonna comes in third with 49.
Elvis Presley holds the record overall, with 80 Top 40 hits.
“Delicate” is the sixth top 40 hit from Taylor’s Reputation album, following “Look What You Made Me Do,” “…Ready For It?,” “Gorgeous,” “Call It What You Want” and “End Game.”
Sunday night, Taylor won the Billboard Music Award for Top Female Artist and Top Selling Album for Reputation.
