“Mean Girls,” “Legally Blonde”…what's “next?” Ariana says new video “will probably be my favorite I'll ever do”

Dave MeyersAriana Grande‘s fans are desperate to see her video for her #1 hit “thank u, next,” and she’s just as excited as they are, describing the clip as “super different from the rest,” and “probably…my favorite video i’ll ever do.”

Ari’s been teasing fans by posting a number of photos on Twitter with captions inspired by the movies Mean Girls and Legally Blonde — including “Meet the Plastics” and “Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed.”

She also posted a photo of herself posing with Jennifer Coolidge, who played Paulette in the beloved Reese Witherspoon comedy, and captioned it “new best friend.” 

“i don’t know if i’ve ever been this exhausted. ever. but these last three days were the most fun i’ve ever had. period,” she tweeted about making the video.

Ariana has also teased that the clip will also pay tribute to two additional movies, which sent fans into a frenzy trying to guess which of the singer’s favorite movies might have provided inspiration.  Guesses ranged from 13 Going on 30 and First Wives Club to Heathers and Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
