ABC/Rick RowellLady Gaga says she likely won’t be back in her home until after Thanksgiving, following the devastating Woolsey fire that tore through her Malibu neighborhood.

The singer told Variety at Sunday night’s Academy Governor’s Awards that thankfully, her house was spared, though parts of her property were damaged. “I am so grateful for the firefighters who put [the fires] out,” she said.

“It’s still so smoky. I’m not sure when we could go back,” she added. “But I’m grateful. So grateful.”

Other houses in her neighborhood were not as lucky and were either damaged or completely destroyed. According to Variety, the fire destroyed approximately 1,400 structures in the Malibu, Agoura and Calabasas areas. It was about 91% contained as of Sunday.

Since being evacuated, Gaga has shown her support for other evacuees by bringing food and supplies to various shelters. She also visited L.A. County Fire Station 27 on Saturday, bringing pasta and meatballs for the firefighters.

“I feel so bad for everyone. People losing everything. I am going to do more, do what I can,” Gaga told Variety.
