Republic RecordsAriana Grande‘s love for her new fiancé, Pete Davidson, has spilled over into her new album, Sweetener.  After sharing a snippet of a new song on Twitter, she told fans it was from an interlude on the album titled “Pete.”

When a few fans criticized her for this, with one calling her “dumb” and another writing, “i thought it was a joke but seriously??,” Ariana clapped back hard.

“forreal. the truth is i been the f**k thru it and life’s too short to be cryptic n s**t about something as beautiful as this love I’m in,” Ariana tweeted. “So Pete it is.”

Ariana’s also revealed the album cover for Sweetener, which features an upside down color photo of her face with a peach-colored background. When a fan noted that it was Ari’s first album cover to be in color, Ariana replied, “issa new chapter.  for the first time my life is in color as well.”

In another tweet, the singer also explained why all the artwork and images connected to the album have been upside down.

“i showed [my friend] aaron a photo and he was sitting opposite me and he said ‘i even love it upsidedown’ and that was kind of it for me,” she wrote.  “At the time i had been feeling v ‘upsidedown’ for a while & the simplicity of that was like ‘oh duh wow my bestie a genius’…everything clicked after that.”
